I'm so very grateful for this year. So many great things have happened and I made little strides here and there to achieve my goals. This recap helped me look back and honestly be grateful for all I've been able to do in 2023.

I can't wait for 2024 and be able to share all the ideas and stories I have in store. 🖤

I use these DAILY to get me inspired or as tools to help speed up my workflow and I wont gatekeep these, so here are my ✨Big 4✨

1. Eyecandy - visual/shot inspiration; this site is definitely more than meets the eye. Not only is it a trove of inspiration but if you like a certain shot it’ll tell you the type of shot it is so you can search more of it on your own.

2. Showreelz - motion graphics, ux/ui, 3D inspiration; everything is presented so clean on this site and I usually find an idea so fast as i’m perusing through the site.

3. ShotDeck - search & create decks with shots from movies/tv shows; I always wanted something like Pinterest but for movie shots and ShotDeck was EXACTLY what I wanted. Been using it since I was in film school and never turned back

4. Mixkit - free assets; Can’t sleep on this site for sure. If i’m ever in a pinch and I need free stock video, video templates, sound effects or music, I can always find something on Mixkit.

life has been crazy recently. So many things back

life has been crazy recently. So many things back to back but I couldn't be more grateful for these huge life moments that I had the past 2 weeks. I graduated in something I love. Genuinely thought that wouldn't happen and I am so grateful for such a huge achievement. I had my thesis film premiere at the SEDT Spring Student Film Showcase 2023. I am sososo proud of this film, the people that helped to make it all happen and the other directors and professors that were so supportive. I have felt so unsure about so many things along the way these last few semesters but the people I've met at the film program at MDC have really been a burning army of support and love.

Thank you to everyone that showed their support in any way either by going to the screening, donating money, time or love, helping out on set, sharing my films posts, sent kind words my way, etc. sending my love out to you all ❤️
